Youth Coalition Update (Paul): |
Paul and Bonnie took 4 youth to record a radio ad at BUG Country. Ad will be played 2-3x/week beginning May 2 through end of July. |

Media Committee Update (Cassandra): |
Would like 2 youth reps on the media committee. The same message(s) on Social Media will also be on billboards May-July. |

Parent Engagement Committee (Paul): |
Movie night on 4/6/22. Very informative evening, would like to have the movie shown to students, will have to talk with Rich. |

Capacity Building: |
Welcome Geoff! Hope to get representatives from the Library and Lexington. |

Naloxone Boxes: |
Meeting on April 25 at 0900 to further discuss the Naloxone boxes that will, ideally, be placed next to AEDs in public places. If you are interested in joining, please contact Sabrina for the zoom link: sherlick@ahihealth.org |

Drug Take Back Day: |
April 30, 2022, Gloversville Police/City Hall parking lot 1000-1400. Naloxone training and Deterra bags will also be available. Numbers were reviewed and are attached. Notable increase from last month. |

Marijuana Policy AD Hoc Work Group: |
Cannabis policies will align with Alcohol policies, following adult use locations, not near churches, schools. |

GPD (Chief Clay): |
The NEU Planning Committee is made up of Ginger Cato, Cassandra VanNostrand, Tina Morey, Andrea Fettinger, Lashawn Hawkins, Tony Clay, and Candy Gurtler. I have also invited some of the youth coalition members to be involved as well. Our first meeting will be April 28th at 3pm via zoom. |

PAX Tools Training: |
PAX Tools is a collection of evidence based, trauma informed strategies for improving cooperation and self-regulation with youth. It is for any caring adults who interact with children such as parents, caregivers, professionals , and volunteers. I am a community educator for that program and plan to offer the training a few times. I will be doing the first workshop at DuBois Gardens with Lashawn on April 28th at 10am. I am also willing to implement the 2 hour workshop for any youth serving organization that would like it for their staff or volunteers. Reach out to me for more information. |

OD Mapping Update: |
From January 1-April 21, 2022 total suspected overdoses were at 19, (up 10 since the last meeting), no new fatal overdoses, Naloxone has been used 9 times since the last meeting. |

Kathy Stangle: If you would just add to the next minutes for our Fulmont Early Childhood Services/Head Start Program is accepting applications for children ages 3-5. All families who are enrolled in our program receive services in education, health, nutrition, disabilities and family services, helping families to familiarize themselves with the wonderful resource within our community. In combination with the parent input and our school readiness goals The Early Childhood Service Program is dedicated to preparing its students for a lifetime of academic success. Anyone wishing to apply can call our Enrollment Specialist, Morgan Handy at 518-775-5754 press option 5 to apply for our locations in Amsterdam, Johnstown, Gloversville, Canajoharie, Oppenheim Ephratah/St. Johnsville areas.
