Margret and Alicia went over all the offerings of the council such as: High Disguise Room Educational opportunities k-12 THEY WILL BE STARTING A COALITION IN THE CITY OF JOHNSTOWN |

Youth Coalition Update (Paul): |
Bonnie reported this is still in the infancy after COVID at the high school. Paul is working with GMS group who is working on social media ads, tobacco awareness, and they did the High Disguise room. |

Media Committee Update (Cassandra): |
Cassandra – Met a few weeks ago, placement of billboards. Meeting on the 24th of March. Still looking for media representative. Bonnie met with the Leader Herald Rep. Halen Brown has agreed to be our sector rep |

Parent Engagement Committee (Paul): |
Bonnie discussed the parent engagement event that will be at GHS on April 6th. Movie to be shown, music to be played, activities for young children. Sarah created a flier. Full steam ahead |

Capacity Building: |
Cassandra reported that the Glove City Action plan is being reviewed and will be ready for submission before the deadline. Met with Julie Ademec and feels that is progressing |

The Sustainability Plan Development: |
As a year 3 Drug Free Communities Grantee, we have to update and submit a Sustainability Plan to DFC this year, due in August. Would like to add 2 more members to an adhoc committee to help with how the coalition could be sustained if not renewed after year 5. Please reach out to Bonnie to volunteer. |

Drug Take Back Day: |
Chief Clay is looking to do things similar to last year. We are a=not on the list with the DEA, but that is in progress. Looking to do Car Seat install Narcan Training Tentative Date is April 30th on the north lot of city hall 10am -2pm

Marijuana Policy AD Hoc Work Group: |
Bonnie and Sally Baker are working with Jeff Peck on education on cannabis in regards to the application of cannabis dispensary policies |

GPD (Chief Clay): |
Met with the Juvenile Justice group and was able to bring in county and city leaders. No update on NEU, currently they do not have the capacity (man power) in regards to getting that going. He is working with Brenda H. – Her group is working through Look TV on a documentary on opioid work disorder. The large portion of the documentary will be based on NEU work |

Action Plan for Year 4: |
Bonnie has been working on the action plan. It is Due in June. Hard Copied available for in person attendance. She projected the current plan to all. She reviewed the objectives and the strategies. Those included activities, who is responsible and time frames. Some things are specific to evaluation. SOME OF THE CURRECT GOALS/ ACTION ARE: She met with elementary schools to incorporate some activities. Where that goes depends on the schools elementary SEL action plan Focus on getting more youth engaged with the coalition. Increase social media campaign for changing social norms COALITION GRANT CAN NOT PAY FOR Smoke/Vape detectors. Bonnie will send out the plan to the entire coalition and ask for things that may be included.

OD Mapping Update: |
PowerPoint Slide was displayed in regards to Overdose data. Jan, 1st, 2022 – March 17th, 2022 Amanda was informed that we just had 2 and we are in a spike. Bonnie stated even with the 2 it is less than last month. |

LaShawn Hawkins (GESD): Youth Zone At Boulevard every Wednesday 5pm – 7pm. The goal is to increase and engage parents. Students must come to school to go to the youth zone. Having students introduced to influential people in the city. GPD has spoken to the youth and it has been wonderful. They created great connections, to help dispel negative perceptions. LaShawn is looking for volunteers to help with the youth zone Kelsey: Looking for first responders, for the Aril 9th event. RSVPs to Kelsey. Bonnie will re-share the flier. Joyce Royal: Food Pantry – 10-1pm on the 3rd Monday of each month. Theresa Austin (RCRCOC): Family Navigator position has been filled. New Peer engagement specialist “Jeff” |
