Theresa Austin—Rob Constantine Recovery Center The recovery center provides peer support to those recovery and their families; Narcan training is provided; Johnstown location is at 86 Briggs St and the Amsterdam location is at St Ann’s on 37 Division St.; there are lots of different groups to attend such as “you’re in recovery”, Men’s group, Women’s Group, and a Family Group; Narcan Training provided; 24 hour Peer Support Hotline: 518-705-4627; |

Member Reports | Cassandra VanNostrand, Community Educator, Planned Parenthood of Greater NY: Amsterdam and Johnstown planned parenthood offices are open and have different hours they are operating under. Monday Johnstown 8:30-5, Tuesday Amsterdam 9:30-6, Wednesday Johnstown 11-6, Thursday Amsterdam 8:30-5 Cassandra available for outreach purposes, extended enrollment and have navigators onsite to do enrollments for insurance also family planning benefit program that can be utilized. 1-800-230-PLAN Cassandra.vannostrand@ppgreaterny.org Hiring for multiple positions and will send in a separate email to coalition members or reach out to her directlyJoyce Royal, N Main Street United Methodist Church Food pantry numbers are way up; Head of Food Bank is retiring; starting delivery of food if needed; Every Monday is free takeout lunch from 11-12:20; April 19th is the next food pantry from 10-1; tabling encouragedHoward Wilson, NY Connects: Catholic Charities Mass Food Drop in Fort Plain on 4/6/2021 starting at 9:30 AM.Rich DeMallie, Gloversville HS: 5 week interim reports have been issued with 15 weeks of school left; attendance is down and at 75%; grad rate would be 53% if graduation were tomorrow; Revamping grading policy and will need board approval; providing students with opportunities to improve their grades; worked on an anti-bullying presentation for students;Lashawn Hawkins, I Can Breathe and I Will Speak – quite a few upcoming events; kicking off spring with a tire garden, plan is for 1 a month, 3 tires stacked and filled with dirt and flowers and will be painted in Gloversville school colors; Tributes for guardians: laminated photos of parents or guardians with a note, will be very affordable, if money is an issue sponsors will be available; June is the 1 year anniversary of I Can Breathe and I Will Speak; there will be a festival at Rail Trail Park with vendors and performers; volunteers will be needed; contact Lashawn with volunteering or questions |
